There are two accommodation options available at the Festival.
Campgrounds The venue is a beautiful bush clad flat area – with several large camping areas. Plenty of room for you to pitch your tent away from the madding crowd. Families may choose to camp in the upper field further away from the central area, or can opt to be close enough to the action.
Just a few rules around the camp:-
- NO DOGS ALLOWED (but Guide Dogs are welcome)
- NO SMOKING in any building, marquee or tent
- NO ADMISSION before 3pm Friday
- LEAVE THE SITE by 2pm Monday
Try to keep early morning and really late night noise confined to the central camp areas – not the parts where people are sleeping.
Much as we would like to, we are not able to offer recycling facilities - if you are keen to do your bit for the planet, please endeavour to take your recyclable rubbish home with you.
Bunks Bunks (in cabins) are available for participants who don't wish to camp. Bunks are only available if you register for the weekend (postal registration). More information about how to secure a bunk can be found on the Weekend Registration page. These are limited, so book early to not miss out. (**For bunk availability, please check the front page of the website.)
Motels Some festival participants opt to stay in motels in Wainuiomata, away from the festival site. You may leave and enter the festival site provided you do not remove the wristband supplied at the Registration Gate.
There are shower and kitchen facilities available to festival-goers for both accommodation options.
Showers There are two shower blocks available.
Kitchens Kitchen facilities are available for self-catering (at the Flecther Hall), but it’s probably best to bring at least basic cooking facilities.
